The Lakefront Lodge

This stately lodge, with its steeply pitched wood shingle roof and stone façade, wouldn’t be out of place in the English countryside or Germany’s Black Forest. One reaches the lodge via a private road through woods and wetlands. Knock on the brass lion doorknocker at the front door, but be patient as it takes awhile to unbolt the heavy wooden door. Inside you’ll find a cavernous wood-paneled great room, a huge fireplace with cauldrons, and an enormous wrought iron chandelier. Outside you’ll find a private lake with a floating dock, a grand lion-headed fountain, waterfall, manicured grounds, rolling hills, and huge pines circling the home. This lakefront estate is surrounded by water on four sides, which offers water views from almost every window.
